Retreat Leaders

Jeanie Miley is a writer and columnist, a spiritual director, a retreat leader and speaker on topics of spiritual growth and wholeness. She is the author of eight books and has written a weekly newspaper column, "Growing Edges", for twenty-five years. Since 1971, Jeanie Miley has been fascinated by the integration of psychology and spirituality, forming a deep belief that religious practice or dogma means nothing unless it makes a difference in the everyday life of the individual and in personal relationships.  She is a trained facilitator for Centering Prayer workshops.  Jeanie is a graduate of the Spiritual Direction Institute at the Cenacle Retreat House, in Houston, Texas, and has a full practice of directees.  One of the most frequently-heard comments about Jeanie's teaching and writing is that it is "practical, meeting everyday-needs of persons of all ages."

Dr. Molly Marshall is President and Professor of Theology and Spiritual Formation at Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Shawnee, Kansas.  Dr. Marshall’s vocation has been in theological education for the past twenty-five years. She describes herself as a “midwife of grace,” encouraging what she sees struggling to be born in the lives of faithful learners. President Marshall is a nationally recognized author, lecturer, and preacher. She believes that a seminary is a treasure of the church and a source of renewal for congregational life.

Connie McNeill is the Coordinator of Administration at the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship in Atlanta, GA.  Before coming to CBF in 2005, she was the Chief Operating Officer/Vice President for Development at Central Baptist Theological Seminary.  She enjoys golf, reading, painting, photography, travel and the performing arts.

Devita Parnell is the Missions Education Specialist for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and is responsible for the production of missions education resources for four age levels.  Previously, she served as the Associate Coordinator for Congregational Life for CBF of Georgia.  A native of Sandersville, GA, she is a graduate of McAfee School of Theology and the University of Georgia.  Devita has additional professional experience as a missionary, campus minister, and development officer, and local church experience as a choir member, Sunday school teacher, missions teacher, church organist and deacon.  Devita and her husband Mark, along with their two children, Tyler and Julia, live in Lilburn, Georgia.
